A Cover lo, Coast to Country & a quick Catch up......

What a lovely surprise to come home to......Our gorgeous little man on the cover of the latest SM magazine!!.......Woooohooooo....... I was ticled pink to see it not to mention how excited Bohdi was also!!

OK My lovely friend Maria & I were so very lucky with the glorious weather we had on our recent trip to Tasmania!!........The sun shone when we needed it & we only had one day with Showers which was while we were at Port Arthur........Kinda added to the whole Sad & heart breaking experiences that this insightful place held. All up I drove about 1800klms around Tassie from one end to another over 9 days!!...it was trulely amazing & breathtaking in some parts.

Below is a waterfall at Cradle Mountain.....I could have sat there all day & listened to this tranquil sound of the fallen water!!

The ever gorgeous Cradle Mountain itself!!.......Just breathtaking & we were even treated to the last bits of winter snow & a sun mirrored image of the mountain in the waters reflection.

Below is a smaller fall still at Cradle just below the Lodge taken at dusk!!

The Bay of Fires treated us to pure eyecandy with the sand as white as snow.....Water a rainbow of blues & 2 playful dolphins to enjoy.

Still at the bay of fires......The colours were simply amazing from the rocks to beack to water behind natural bushland to frame it all!!

I shall be back with somemore photo's soon I hope.
Still a bit weary & catching up on alot!!

In other news the Boxx newsletter is out as always full of inspiration & new products to see.
Better be off now.... I'm looking forward to some quality family time this weekend!!
Take care & thanks for stopping by

Nothing like a good challenge.................

to get the creativeness flowing!!!
The lovely Kim Geeling from the Boxx started a challenge to create 10 lo's with each person joining to choose lo recipe.

The first was Kim's - use 4 pics & a journal /tag spot
Next was Kerry- to use a pattern paper background & hand journaling
Next I chose- to use 3 4x6 photo's & a handmade accent
Next was Tam- to use a Frame & NO PINK
No 5 was Moi- to use a Kraft Back ground & use leftover alphas
This is as far as I got for now as I am going on a holiday with a dear friend for a well earned week!!.....sooo looking forward to this.......I have waited 16 years for this no children, hubby or chores for a whole week!!.....omg I am just a little excited!! ...will be sure to share some pics on my return.
The sun has finally begun to shine down here & we are loving this glorious spring weather after so many cold, wet days.....lets hope it stays for a while!!.....although don't get me wrong we need the rain down here but we need good (soaking rain) not (sooking rain) as I call it as it keeps the kiddo's inside all day sooking!!...lol
Ok I'll be off now...so much to do & so little time to do it which I'm sure everyone can relate to somedays !!!
Take care & if anyone still pops in.....Thank you x...... I know Im a very slack (time challenged) blogger!!

Mel G's sew along - Lazy days skirts!!!

Last week I joined in with a sew along that Mel G has going on her wonderful blog.

It's to sew a very simple (just right for me) skirt pattern....... which my girls love skirts.

And without further ado here are my two creations!!

First is one I made for Emma (5) who loves anything girly, twirly & pink!!...lol

I chose these gorgeous Ava rose fabrics I purchased a little while ago & used the scraps I had left from making a quilt.....The gingham green fabric was actually sheet fabric from Spotlight.

I made them on the weekend & Emma wore it nearlly all weekend!!....I guess you could say that one was a hit!

The second one I made was for Laura (7)
This time I used Chambrey fabric & using my embroidery machine embroidered a gorgeous butterfly & the words "Lazy days" in fitting with the pattern used....I made this one a little too long (as usual I never measure as I should)...lol...but Laura still adores it & i guess she will get alot more wear out of it this way.
I will definately be making many more of these gorgeous & terribly easy skirts.
Thanks Mel for sharing yet another wonderful creation & pattern....... your a gem!!!
xx
If you would like to join in there is still plenty of time...I think I saw at last count there was 71 of us making a skirt!!....wow how cool is that!!

I also managed a few lo's ....I love school holidays!!
will be back soon to share those.
Thanks for dropping by
